We have three distinct Xeon bundles, including a Xeon 658X bundle and a Xeon 654 bundle with a non-pro W890 motherboard. But the one we’ll be looking at today is the Xeon 654 bundle featuring the ASUS Pro WS W890-E Sage SE motherboard.
What’s In the Bundle
The Xeon 654 is a powerhouse 18-core, 32-thread processor designed for heavily threaded workflows, like AI, CAD, Blender, or video and scientific work. It also supports up to 4TB of DDR5-6400 memory for high-intensity AI work and training or as a high-throughput server.
ASUS’s W890-E motherboard is a stellar compliment to the Xeon 654. It offers eight memory slots for RAM upgrades and expansions as well as seven PCIe 5.0 x 16 slots, giving ample options for changes, upgrades, and usage-based customization. It also features a dedicated management LAN for AST2600 so you can remotely access the BIOS of your system from just about anywhere, on top of dual 10Gb ethernet.
The final piece of the bundle is a massive 128GB of high-speed DDR5-5600 ECC RAM, plenty to get any high-end build at least started. Depending on your needs, 128GB may just be the beginning of the build, but with four additional slots on the motherboard and support for up to eight channels on the CPU, you should never want for more space.
